Antique Furniture Restoration and Conservation
The conservation and restoration of antique furniture requires the attention of craftsmen who both understand and respect the history of the piece. The success of this work is dependent on originality of colour and patination and, wherever possible, the conservation of whatever remains of original components. This basic philosophy is upheld by Heldreich French Polishers.

18th Century Walnut and Fruitwood Veneered Side Table
Legs had been cut down to be used as a coffee table. The legs were extended using existing inlaid and crossbanded features as a guide. European Walnut used and all crossbanding and inlay handmade. Once sections grafted, they were distressed and matched into original legs. A modern varnish was removed from the piece and the table re-oiled as per original finish.
